Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Job Description

The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive primary care, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, in compliance with clinical and administrative protocols.

Essential duties include conducting patient assessments, developing treatment and prevention plans, ordering and interpreting tests, coordinating referrals, documenting in EMR, and participating in team and professional meetings.

They ensure timely documentation, adhere to continuing education requirements, and maintain patient confidentiality. The role involves working scheduled and unscheduled patients, collaborating with physicians, and participating in after-hours on-call rotation.

Physical demands include sitting, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various conditions. OSHA Category II exposure applies.

Requirements: Missouri Nurse Practitioner license, 3-5 years outpatient experience preferred, integrity, independent judgment, CPR/BLS certification, and ability to obtain specialization.
