This Clinical Nurse role involves providing competent, patient-centered care in a hospital setting, following professional standards.

  • Participate in patient education, assess learning needs, and promote understanding for patients and families.
  • Evaluate care outcomes, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and communicate effectively for continuity of care.
  • Perform bedside testing, organize care prioritizing patient needs, and consult resources for complex cases.
  • Assist in setting professional growth goals, support unit objectives, and promote a safe hospital environment.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, anticipate discharge needs, and build relationships with families.
  • Collaborate with patients and families in care planning, considering cultural factors, and prioritize tasks for complex cases.
  • Engage in research, stay informed on best practices, and bring ideas for quality improvement.

    Requirements include graduation from a professional nursing program, North Carolina RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of nursing experience. This full-time, onsite night shift position offers 36 hours weekly in a hospital setting.
