The Lighthouse Neurological Rehabilitation Center (*Kingsley, MI*) is a leading rehabilitation center providing comprehensive care through both residential and outpatient services. Our mission is to support individuals on their path to recovery and wellness by integrating evidence-based treatments with compassionate, client-centered care.

We are currently seeking a Temporary Recreational Therapist to join our team for a 3-month assignment. This role plays a key part in our approach to therapy and wellness, helping clients build confidence, develop skills, and improve their overall quality of life.

As a Recreational Therapist, you will design, implement, and evaluate therapeutic recreation programs tailored to support physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure programs align with individual treatment plans for both residential and outpatient clients.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Plan and lead individual and group therapeutic recreation treatment sessions
* Collaborate with clinical staff to assess client needs and develop treatment goals
* Document participation, progress, and outcomes in client records
* Adapt programs to accommodate varying levels of ability and engagement
* Foster an inclusive and supportive therapeutic environment
* Monitor and ensure safety during all activities
* Provide input for discharge planning related to leisure and community reintegration

*Qualifications:*

* Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy or related field (required)
* Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required
* Experience working in a behavioral health or rehabilitation setting is a plus
* CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
