Sprains, Strains, and Fractures is an established, comprehensive orthopedic surgical practice looking for a full time or part-time orthopedic surgeon to join our team. We offer excellent access to our community in the South Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia and as a result have a high-volume practice with NO hospital or emergency room call. Our flexible schedules are a perfect fit for an orthopedic surgeon looking for part time work or a full-time partnership track with ancillary opportunities, including ambulatory surgery center, x-ray, and DME.
The successful candidate will provide a high level of patient-centered care, promote practice growth and work collaboratively as part of a team. Interest and availability to provide general orthopedic care preferred, and training or certification in sports medicine a plus. As an independent practice, we accept all major insurances with a healthy payor mix. Our practice is highly elective, our hours are excellent, and there are zero on-call obligations.
Orthopedist
Duties:
– Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions and injuries
– Perform surgical procedures to correct orthopedic issues
– Prescribe medications, physical therapy, and other treatment options
– Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
– Provide counseling on preventive measures and lifestyle changes to promote musculoskeletal health
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems (eClinicalWorks)
– Stay current with advancements in orthopedic medicine through continuing education and professional development
Qualifications:
– Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
– Completion of an orthopedic residency program
– Board certification or eligibility for board certification in Orthopedic Surgery
– Valid NJ state medical license to practice as an Orthopedist
– Experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries
– Proficiency in performing surgical procedures related to orthopedics
– Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
