*Position Overview*
We are seeking experienced and licensed *Physicians*, *Psychiatrists*, or *Psychologists* to provide critical clinical oversight for two core areas:
* *HUD Disability Verification* – Reviewing and signing off on documentation supporting disability determinations for housing programs in accordance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirements specific to Washington State.
* *Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Chart Reviews* – Reviewing client charts and the first initial treatment plan to determine *medical necessity* for treatment services in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
This position offers a *flexible contract opportunity* ideal for professionals seeking to contribute their expertise in support of behavioral health services and housing initiatives.
*Responsibilities*
* Review and sign documentation verifying disability status under HUD guidelines for housing program eligibility (e.g., chronic homelessness or disability due to mental health, SUD, or physical conditions).
* Conduct clinical reviews of SUD treatment plans and client charts to determine compliance with medical necessity criteria.
* Collaborate with case managers, clinical staff, and compliance officers to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
* Maintain documentation that aligns with Washington State and federal regulatory standards.
* Ensure timely review and sign-off of records to meet program and funding deadlines.
*Qualifications*
* *Licensed in the State of Washington* as one of the following:
* MD (Doctor of Medicine)
* PhD or PsyD (Licensed Psychologist)
* Psychiatrist (MD/DO with board certification in Psychiatry)
* Experience with HUD housing programs, disability verification, or similar documentation, preferred but not required.
* Familiarity with *ASAM Criteria* and *Washington State* guidelines for SUD treatment is preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and confidentiality.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
*Preferred Experience*
* Prior work in community health, behavioral health, or housing-focused organizations.
* Experience conducting medical necessity reviews for Medicaid-funded SUD programs.
* Understanding of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and documentation standards in behavioral health.
